Specifications
All the country flag patches offered in Globenir are sized 6.3 x 3.6 cm. They can be either ironed on or embroidered, according to your liking.
Steps for attachment:
- Â Turn on your ironing machine to its highest heat setting to make sure the patch adheres properly to your fabric.
- Place your patch on the marked spot on your fabric, place a thin cloth on top of your patch, and iron for 30 seconds.
- Let it cool down for 30 seconds.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 if the patch did not stick.
About the Flag
"The Papua New Guinea flag is composed of two triangles arranged diagonally. The left side is black and the right triangle is red. On the black triangle is a five-pointed five-white star, which represents the Southern Cross star cluster, and on the red triangle is a yellow bird of paradise symbol.
Black, red, and yellow are the traditional colors of Papua New Guinea’s style of art and clothing. Yellow bird of paradise, icons of Papua New Guinea culture. The symbolization of a flight with its wings open represents freedom and the moment the country was born as an independent nation.
5 stars represent Epsilon stars that are not as bright as the constellations of the Southern Cross, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and others.
