About the Flag
"The North Korean flag consists of a red band and two blue stripes on and under this strip. There are thin white stripes on and under the blue strips, and the top of the flag is a red colored five-pointed star placed in a white circle.
Blue lines represent sovereignty, peace, and friendship, and red represents communism and revolutionary patriotism. White is the traditional Korean color and represents the purity and culture of the Korean people. The red star symbolizes the philosophy of the communist country. The white circle is linked with the Yin and Yang symbol on the flag of South Korea." (source: mappr)
